Our commitment

Responsible AI, Centered on Human Care

Clover Care Navigator — with Grace, our AI care navigator — is being developed to help caregivers find trustworthy information, organize their next steps and connect with real people and services. Artificial intelligence can help reduce confusion and administrative burden, but it must remain under human control. Clover’s Group is committed to protecting the dignity, privacy, choices and wellbeing of every caregiver and care recipient.

Five principles we build by

01 · Humanity and choice

People Remain at the Center

Grace should take work off a caregiver’s plate without taking people out of caregiving. The caregiver and care recipient remain in control of their choices. Artificial intelligence will never replace compassion, family relationships, professional judgment, pastoral support or personal responsibility.

In the pilot today

  • Grace is labeled as an AI assistant wherever she appears — never as a doctor, therapist or attorney.
  • A “Talk to a person” option — 211 or our pilot team — appears in every chat, every pathway result and every page footer.
  • You can ignore Grace’s suggestions, stop a pathway or leave at any time. Nothing is lost and no account is needed.
  • No streaks, badges or guilt-based nudges.

02 · Trusted, reliable and verifiable information

Caregivers Should Not Have to Fact-Check Everything

Clover Care Navigator will prioritize verified information from government agencies, respected healthcare organizations and approved community partners. Important recommendations should show their source, date of verification and any limitations.

In the pilot today

  • Every local listing shows when our team last confirmed it.
  • Listings not re-checked within 90 days are marked “Verification pending” and can’t receive contact requests.
  • Grace is instructed not to diagnose, change medications, or make emergency, legal or financial decisions.
  • Every listing has a “Report correction” button for outdated or unavailable information.

Pilot commitment

  • Show the source beside important information, and clearly separate verified facts from AI-generated suggestions.
  • Label uncertain information with: “Please verify this with the appropriate professional.”

03 · Privacy, transparency and user control

Your Information, Your Choice

Caregivers should understand what information is collected, why it is needed, how it is used and whether it will be shared. Clover Care Navigator should collect only the information necessary to provide useful support.

In the pilot today

  • Your Caregiver Binder stays on your device. We never see it.
  • Family share links are encrypted on your device before they are sent.
  • A provider only receives your name and contact details after you tick a consent box. Contact requests are deleted after 90 days.
  • We never sell caregiver or care-recipient information. Email us any time to review, correct or delete what you sent.

04 · Caregiver co-design and continuous learning

Built With Caregivers, Not Just for Caregivers

Clover Care Navigator will be shaped by the lived experiences of family caregivers, care recipients, direct-care workers and trusted community professionals. Feedback should guide improvements before and during the pilot.

In the pilot today

  • A one-tap “Was this helpful?” question follows every pathway result.
  • The pilot team receives a weekly summary of that feedback.

Pilot commitment

  • Family caregivers and at least one direct-care worker or home-health aide take part in design reviews.
  • Accessibility testing with older adults and people with limited digital experience.
  • A written process for reviewing recurring concerns and updating the system.

05 · Evidence and accountability in real caregiving

Prove That It Helps

Clover Care Navigator should earn trust by helping caregivers reach meaningful support — not simply by producing polished answers. Clover’s Group will evaluate whether the system connects people with verified resources, professional assistance, respite care and community support.

In the pilot today

  • Every pathway result includes up to two backup options in case the first one isn’t available.

Pilot commitment

  • Measure, without identifying you, whether caregivers found an appropriate resource, contacted the organization, received a response, accessed the service, or still need assistance.
  • Keep “resource displayed,” “referral sent,” “caregiver contacted” and “need resolved” separate, so a polished answer is never mistaken for real help.
  • Keep unresolved requests visible for follow-up by an authorized person.
  • Document errors, complaints and safety concerns.
  • Review pilot results before expanding any automated features.

How the Care Circle works

Technology organizes. People decide.

  1. 1Caregiver identifies a need
  2. 2Grace organizes and explains the options
  3. 3Caregiver chooses the next step
  4. 4An authorized person or partner reviews when necessary
  5. 5The caregiver connects with the service
  6. 6Care Circle follows up on whether the need was resolved

Safety notice

Clover Care Navigator and Grace provide educational information and care-navigation support. They do not provide medical diagnosis, emergency response, legal advice or treatment decisions. Important health, medication, legal and financial questions should be confirmed with a qualified professional.

If Grace notices urgent words, she shows emergency and crisis numbers right away. She cannot call anyone for you and will never say she has.

Talk to a person

Grace and these tools can help you get organized, but a real person is always an option.

Guided by Faith, Hope, Love and God’s Grace, Clover’s Group believes responsible technology should protect human dignity, strengthen relationships and help caregivers reach real support.

Caregiving is a calling, not an obligation. Clover Care Navigator is here to help caregivers move from uncertainty toward trustworthy information, practical next steps and compassionate human support.

These principles describe how we intend to build and run the pilot. They are not a certification, a statement of regulatory compliance, or a guarantee that any AI tool is safe or effective.
